    As a Career Change and Rehoming Coordinator at Guide Dogs, you'll provide people-centred customer service and high-quality administrative coordination to support the successful career change, retirement, and rehoming of dogs. You'll play a key role in managing applicant and volunteer journeys, maintaining accurate records, coordinating operational activities, and ensuring an efficient and seamless experience for all stakeholders. The Career Change and Rehoming Coordinator will be an expert in delivering people-centred customer service, building positive stakeholder relationships, and providing professional administrative support. Our Career Change and Rehoming Coordinators play a huge part in ensuring everything we do enables us to deliver on our purpose and exceed expectations.

    This is a home based role supporting a national team. You’ll be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver outstanding customer service, acting as a key point of contact for applicants, volunteers, and stakeholders throughout the career change and rehoming journey.
    • Manage applicant journeys from initial application through to adoption and aftercare, ensuring a positive and seamless experience.
    • Provide high-quality administrative support to the Career Change and Rehoming team, maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with GDPR requirements.
    • Ensure all contracts, donations, databases, and operational processes are managed accurately, efficiently, and in line with organisational standards.

    You

    You'll have a customer-focused and highly organised approach to delivering administrative support and stakeholder coordination. You'll enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a dedicated focus on supporting applicants, volunteers, and the successful rehoming of dogs, whilst being committed to delivering exceptional service. You'll act with integrity and honesty in everything you do.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Educated to post-secondary level with a minimum of 3 GCSE passes including Maths and English at grade C (or equivalent) (QCF level 2 / SQCF level 5).
    • Experience in a customer service role, and/or office/administration role.
    • Completing basic Health and Safety risk assessments.
    • Experienced in the use of CRM systems.
    • A comprehensive knowledge of GDPR regulations.
    • Computer literate with advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Basic understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
    • Clear understanding and experience of safeguarding.
