  • About The Role

  • Join our team as a Health, Safety and Business Continuity (HSBC) Support Coordinator, where you'll play a key role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for everyone at Guide Dogs. You’ll be the first point of contact for routine enquiries, incident reporting, and compliance administration, supporting the smooth running of our health, safety, and business continuity services. Your organisational skills will help coordinate training, maintain accurate records, assist with audits and incident management, ensuring that we continue to meet the highest safety standards.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing incident reports, coordinating training sessions, maintaining electronic records in line with GDPR, and assisting with audit schedules. You’ll also help organise team events and provide wider administrative support where needed. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vital function within our organisation, helping to create a safe and well-managed environment for colleagues, volunteers, and service users.

    About You

We’re looking for a highly motivated team player with a proactive approach and strong administrative skills. You’ll have experience in an admin role and be confident handling confidential information with sensitivity and integrity.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

    • The ability to organise and prioritise tasks efficiently.

    • A positive, professional telephone manner and good interpersonal skills.

    • A willingness to learn new internal systems and processes.

It would be great if you also have:

    • Customer service experience.

    • Knowledge of GDPR regulations.

    • A basic understanding of health and safety legislation.

If you are a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a supportive, people-focused organisation, we’d love to hear from you!

  • About Us

  • No two people with sight loss are the same, and none of our people are either. So, we are proud to offer a range of person-centred benefits that can support each member of staff in ways that really mean something to them – and show them how much they mean to us. We offer a flexible benefits package, discounts and cashback scheme, a generous holiday allowance and matched contributory pension scheme to care for our people.

This role will be based on site at our National Centre, near Warwick, where you’ll be working 15 hours per week, worked flexibly over multiple days. We value in-person collaboration with our teams and those we support, so the ability to travel occasionally to our other sites is needed.

    How to apply

Further details on the full role are attached below. When you are ready to apply, submit an online application form via this page.

    Safeguarding

At Guide Dogs, we believe in fair and equitable hiring practices. A criminal record will not automatically disqualify an applicant from consideration for a position. Each case will be evaluated individually, taking into account the nature of the offense, its relevance to the role, and the time that has passed since the incident. We encourage all candidates to disclose relevant information, and we assure you that it will be handled confidentially and fairly.

Guide Dogs follow Safer Recruitment practices to ensure we are safeguarding the vulnerable people we work with. As part of this, we require a full work history with any gaps accounted for & a minimum of 2 professional referee details fully covering the past 5 years. If you are applying for a disclosure role, please note that you will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and sign up to the DBS update service.
