Join the Guide Dogs team and make a difference in the lives of people with visual impairments! We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker / Employee Access Assistant to support the Dog Training Support Coordinator at our Redbridge site.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support a Guide Dogs Employee, enabling them to perform their daily tasks effectively and efficiently. As an Employee Access Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in building a close, trusting relationship with the person you support, helping them achieve their goals and making a positive impact on their day-to-day life.
We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a person-centred approach. Your ability to work closely with the supported individual, demonstrate empathy, and use initiative will be key to your success in this role.
This role will be based on site at our Redbridge office, working closely with and supporting the Dog Training Support Coordinator. You’ll be working 25 hours per week, we have flexibility with start and finishing hours. Our core hours are 9-5, however there may be times when required to start or finish later.
Your Responsibilities:
- Supporting a Guide Dogs Employee to ensure they can perform their daily duties smoothly and efficiently.
- Developing a close, supportive working relationship with the individual, maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Using your organisational and communication skills to help with tasks like note-taking and other support needs.
