  • About The Role

  • You’re someone who thrives in a varied, people-focused role where no two days are the same, where you can support others, solve problems and be part of a collaborative team.

As Operations Support Coordinator, you'll help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Based at our Newcastle site, you'll play a key role in enabling staff and volunteers to deliver services that make a real difference to people with sight loss. From managing admin tasks and handling queries, to supporting local events and maintaining a welcoming and professional workplace, you'll be at the heart of it all.

Flexibility is essential in this role. You'll need to be comfortable adapting to change, taking initiative, and managing your workload in a fast-paced environment. Whether you’re greeting visitors, coordinating meeting spaces, managing supplies or supporting team communications, you’ll be someone who spots what needs doing and gets it done.

You'll also take responsibility for local health and safety activity, keeping things compliant and safe, and supporting tasks such as fire alarm testing and housekeeping checks. This is a role with wide reach across the organisation, and you’ll be working closely with different teams, using both in-person and digital communication to stay connected and collaborative.

To be successful, you'll need experience in customer service or admin, a good knowledge of GDPR, and confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.  You’ll also need to be organised, adaptable and take pride in helping things run smoothly - this is your chance to be part of the engine room of Guide Dogs and help make a real impact every day.

This role will be based on site at our Newcastle site, and you’ll be working 17.5 hours per week with specific days to be discussed at interview.

No two people with sight loss are the same, and none of our people are either. So, we're proud to offer a range of person-centred benefits that can support each member of staff in ways that really mean something to them – and show them how much they mean to us. We offer a flexible benefits package, discounts and cashback scheme, a generous holiday allowance and matched contributory pension scheme to care for our people.

Interviews for this role are planned to take place W/C 14 April.

For high volumes of applications, we reserve the right to close adverts earlier than advertised.
