As a Digital Learning Content Specialist, you’ll support the development of high-quality digital learning materials that align with Guide Dogs' strategic goals. Working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders, you’ll design engaging, accessible, and interactive learning content that meets the needs of diverse learners. Your role will ensure that digital learning materials are intuitive, effective, and contribute to a culture of continuous development.
You’ll create and design SCORM-compliant e-learning modules, animations, video tutorials, and educational materials using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, and Vyond. By incorporating best practices in instructional design, you’ll develop learning solutions that are interactive, accessible, and engaging.
You’ll ensure content is developed in line with organisational learning strategies, working collaboratively with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback. Supporting the administration of learning systems, you’ll track content performance, provide recommendations for improvement, and ensure that digital learning solutions remain aligned with user needs.
With a focus on user experience and accessibility, you’ll ensure that all digital learning materials are created with a person-centred approach. Reviewing analytics and learner feedback, you’ll refine content and optimise digital learning delivery to enhance engagement and effectiveness.
To excel in this role, you’ll have extensive experience in digital learning design and content creation, with expertise in Articulate 360 Suite, including Storyline and Rise, as well as Vyond. A strong understanding of modern learning methodologies, including microlearning, video-based learning, and digital learning networks, is essential.
A qualification in Learning and Development (CIPD or equivalent) or relevant workplace experience is required along with SCQF Leve9 or VQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject or postgraduate/professional qualification with relevant formal training or equivalent professional experience. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work collaboratively with stakeholders, and analyse learning data to inform future strategies will be key to success in this role. Strong communication and problem-solving skills will ensure that digital learning content is effective, engaging, and aligned with organisational objectives.
