We are looking for a Social Video Manager to join our team and help us make a real difference for people with sight loss. In this exciting role, you will be the driving force behind creating impactful video content that resonates across social media platforms and helps foster a community that thrives on digital engagement.
As Social Video Manager, you will oversee a team of talented Video Producers, leading them to conceptualise, produce, direct, and edit high-quality video content. You will work closely with our digital, marketing, and creative teams to ensure the videos you create align perfectly with our brand messaging and broader campaign strategies. Your videos will be crafted specifically for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Meta, and YouTube, making sure each piece speaks directly to our diverse audience.
Your role is not just about creating videos, it's about telling compelling stories. You’ll be responsible for managing the entire production process, from the early planning stages through to on-site shooting, editing and post-production. A key part of your responsibility will be ensuring that every project is completed on time, within budget, and meets the highest standards of accessibility, ensuring that our content can be enjoyed by everyone.
Staying on top of the latest social media trends, video techniques, and best practices will be essential in your role, helping you adapt our content to stay relevant and impactful. You’ll also explore new technologies and experiment with fresh approaches to video production, continually improving the quality of our content.
Your leadership will be a vital part of the success of the team. You will guide and mentor your video production team, providing support and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment. Working with external suppliers and agencies, when necessary, you’ll ensure the delivery of a seamless production process, while also creating and maintaining brand assets and video guidelines to ensure consistency across all platforms.
If you’re passionate about video, leadership, and making a real difference, we want you to bring your creativity and expertise to our team. Together, we can create inspiring, accessible content that makes a lasting impact on our community.
We value in-person collaboration with our teams and those we support, so the ability to travel to our sites is needed. This role offers flexibility in location, with the option to be in one of our key offices in either Reading or London. The role requires a presence in a Guide Dogs office 2/3 days per week, but beyond that, we offer a hybrid working arrangement that allows for flexibility while ensuring strong collaboration with colleagues and teams.
No two people with sight loss are the same, and none of our people are either. So, we are proud to offer a range of person-centred benefits that can support each member of staff in ways that really mean something to them – and show them how much they mean to us. We offer a flexible benefits package, discounts and cashback scheme, a generous holiday allowance and matched contributory pension scheme to care for our people.
